Douglas S. Hall has been a theatre professional for over 20 years. He started as a performer acting in plays and musicals as well as dancing in modern dance companies and musicals. He received his MFA in directing from Rutgers University. He has been on the faculty at NYU/CAP 21 and Pace University. In 2015 he joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where in 2019 he launched the USF Theatre in Paris program in which the students use the city of Paris as the inspiration for a devised theatre piece which they perform at the end of the four weeks. He balances his teaching schedule with a busy directing career.
